Trekking is all about the experience and fun. The desire to go on a long trek had been only a dream until a sudden trek to Gosainkunda. I had made many trek plans but they always remained as a plan. Taking out time from the busy schedule for trekking is still a big challenge. It’s the same with my colleagues, the plans mostly get canceled at the very last minute.
On one fine day, my uncles asked me about my desire to go Gosaikunda. I agreed happily to go with them. Many things came to my mind during this plan. We sat together for few hours discussing the trek route. I was very excited even though many thoughts were rumbling in my mind. I was worried if something might happen to us throughout that journey. Not having the idea about the route and the climatic condition of that place was the main problem we were facing but thanks to social media, I asked some of my friends who had already been there and was sensible enough to print out the trek route map. A knife, torch light, and some garlic were the must have things for the trek. We had also updated ourselves on the weather forecast of that route. I then arranged my trekking bag accordingly.
I was very excited because this was a sudden plan which was being executed and surfing Google about different pictures of Gosaikunda had been my habitual action. You might think trekking in difficult and yes, it is! But, what most people do not think is equal effort must be put into planning the trek beforehand.
